My dad keeps on giving human food to our teen dog, what can i do to stop my dad?

Back then we had a husky and it was like 6 months old..but she got constipation and other stuff becuase my dad gave her alot of human food and unfortunately she died, now we have a beagle and our dad promised that he would not give human food to our new dog, he broke the promise and because of the holiday there were some left over and our dad gave the pup some food right now she was pooping rock hard and now she has diarrhea…i keep telling him to stop giving her human food but he just says “just shut up, your not a vet!”…i always remeber him about our husky, but he never understands…I actually think my dad that he is killing our dog. she doesn’t even eat her food she only eats her dog food when my dad is not here cause we never give her human food. Im tired of my dad treating us like trash and loving the dog more than us…everybody in the family says it what can we do?

Try calling your vet. Ask your vet if he/she could tell your dad for you. Obviously, your dad cant say “just shut up, your not a vet” to a vet.

Tell him that human food can take YEARS off a dogs life, so basically, your killing our dog!
To the “your not a vet” thing, state “its a well-known fact, look it up.”
That way he will know the facts, and you will have presented them in a way that dosen’t make you seem like a know-it-all.

ok when you eating you can have a tazer and every time he feeds him zap him!!! that’s how dogs learn LOL

Explain to him that dogs need a diet balanced differently from ours and if he MUST feed your dog human food, that there are many healthier options than table scraps. However, if you want him to stop feeding your dog human food completely, ask your vet to bring it up at your dog’s next vet appointment. An unbalanced diet can take years off a dog’s life.

He doesn’t love the dog more than you, because he is slowly killing her.
The Beagle is very prone to obesity, mostly in older dogs or those that don’t get much exercise. Obesity can lead to heart and joint problems in Beagles. Obesity can be stopped by making sure that the dog receives the right amount exercise and eats a healthy diet of dog food and never table scraps.
Tell your dad that.

Take her to the vet for a check up, make sure your dad goes. Your dog is dieing slowly, don’t let that happen.

This is something I battle with my fiancee. I occasionally will give my leftovers.
He on the other hand will feed the dogs off his fork. It is gross.
You can not stop him with out fighting with Home.
Watch the animals weight. If animal is over weight, then you need to get your vet involved. I lost a dog this past spring to this very problem.
Maybe take the dog out for a walk while your dad is eating, or another room.
