Hey my amstaff puppy is about 13 weeks, and weighs about 27 lbs. Everybody says he’s gonna be a big beast when he is older. My neighbors dont like him at all because of his breed. and his name….its convict, but i think its cute as can be!
Any way how big do you think my puppy will be at full grown???
ps mother was medium size
dad was a little bit bigger than the mother, but both had good structure. Both come from good bloodlines.

It’s hard to say because we don’t know any of his pedigree. Genetics play a HUGE role in size as an adult.

27lbs at 13 weeks is very big for an amstaff. He may be of one of the lines that is not pure. It doesn’t matter if he has registration papers- there are many lines of pits and amstaffs that are not pure but are registered as pure. Razors Edge, Gotti, Watchdog, Ace, Gaff and so on. They have been blended with neopolitan mastiffs, cane corsos and bulldogs. They are cool in their own right but many people feel they are ruining the “true pitbull”. Your pup should end up around 80 pounds. But amstaffs are generally shorter and wider than ‘pitbulls’ (they are show pitbulls) Don’t over feed the pup hoping to make him bigger. This can cause health problems like hip displaysia and you will end up with a lame dog. Genetics will determine his size and muscle mass. Over fed amstaffs look stupid and fat- a healthy amstaff than is lean and looks like it can move fast is much more intimidating and better looking- not to mention healthier. Good luck with your big boy.
