how is her health ? if she is in good health she should be fine. chihuahuas life spans are 14-18 years .the small toy breeds live the longest.

Regular chis live long, I don’t know about the little runts. Usually runts live shorter lives but if yours is healthy and still going strong, enjoy it and maybe it’ll go on for another 5 yrs or so.

Since so called teacup Chihuahuas are bred only by sleazy back yard breeders or puppy mills from poor quality breeding stock, you are very lucky your dog has lived this long. Likely he is just a regular Chihuahua and will live to 12 – 14 years.

No such thing as a teacup chi.
hopefully they’ll all die out or something.
before you go around continuing calling your dog a teacup please do some research on what a teacup chi is.

Im surprised your fake breed even made it that far without all the health problems! Are you sure it is a “teacup”

Some live about 15 years, to 18 years.. If they are in good health, they should live a long time. Make sure yours is! Here is a website that tells you everything about chihuahua’s. Hope I helped a littlee :)

Any animal can live to be up to 20 yrs old if taken care of properly. And there is no such thing as tea cup chihuahuas.

There is no such thing as a ‘teacup’ type dog. This label has been applied to dogs who have been produced by breeding runts to other runts, shrinking their size.

These dogs often have more health problems than dogs of normal sizing within the breed because of the stress upon physical size as opposed to health when breeding.

Regular vet visits, a healthy diet (one easy on her digestive system), and consistent exercise is the best course of action in keeping your pup happy and healthy.

With Chihuahuas, as a breed, they often can develop problems with their eyes, joints, and digestive system, so make sure to keep an eye on those. However, there is no set age that an animal will live to. Some die early, some live very long lives. It’s up to an owner’s vigilance and consistent health care to maximize a dog’s longevity.

Depends on if she is healthy or not. Since there is really no such thing as a “teacup” dog, it’s a runt bred from parents that were runts. Runts tend to be unhealthy. If I were you, I’d be pretty happy that your dog has lived this long — hopefully healthily. Most don’t live that long.

Sorry, there is no such thing as a teacup chi, just ill-bred runts being passed off as teacup. If the dog as made it to 10 without major health problems, you may be lucky and it may have a normal lifespan of 12 to 14 yrs.

My Gwen is only 3 pounds right now, and she is almost four months old. We have plans on her living a long and very healthy life . Chihuahua's. can range in weight from very small ( 2 and a half ) to a hefty 10 pounds . All is considered normal according to my vet. So do not worry.
Love your baby. Give him or her their regular vet visits and keep them safe and they should have have a quite normal life span of 15 to 18 years. This is an estimate. Some have been lucky enough to live longer in our lives some are just passing angels as are all animals.
Many blessings to you and yours.
