Huskies and Malamutes are pretty much the only two in that category, although Akitas look a little similar and Samoyeds act a little similar. Great Pyrenees are actually guard dogs for sheep flocks. Bernese Mountain Dogs, German Shepherd Dogs, Giant Schnauzers, Kuvasz, Anatolian Shepherd Dog, and Tibetan Mastiffs are all large, sheep/guarding dogs.

Huskies and Mals are nothing alike personality wise. Huskies are bi-polar in my opinion. Mals are loving caring and gentle, they make great family pets especially with children whom they become very protecive of. They really speak and when they do they moo-moo.
Huskies however are sly, untrustworthy especially around children and very jealous of new people around their human.
As for other Nordic breeds which I assume is your question there is the samoyed, apitz and a coupleof others.
Size wise there is also the Belgian Malois, GSD and austrailian cattle dog. All great breeds.
However in my opinion the Mal is king, but they are NOT breeds for a first time dog owner as they are independant thinking and have to have an experienced, consistant and firm owner. Poor communication between the mal and human leads to poor control and eventually the dog pound.
Join a few mal groups, such as malamutesrus on yahoo to make sure a Mal really is the dog for you.
